Home AllergensMold spores will certainly irritate someone with allergies. The number one allergen however,
is the fecal matter of dust mites. Dust mites don't drink water, but absorb it out of the air through their skin. In
order to live, dust mites need relative humidity over 50%.
Basement Systems solution, the SaniDryTM Basement Air System unit will reduce the relative humidity below 50%. The
SaniDry dehumidifier is unlike a regular household dehumidifier in that the settings are not simply, "low, medium,
high or continuous." Rather with the SaniDry dehumidifier and air filtration system, you set the relative humidity
level you want, such as 49%. This level of relative humidity will cause dust mites to die off.
The SaniDryTM unit also has a two-stage air filter system to keep the air clean. A
prefilter for large dust particles can be rinsed clean as needed, and a second, easy to replace, slide-in filter
takes out particles as small as two microns. |
