What It Does:
An important part of a sealed crawl space is a reliable sump pump system. A sump pump is a small pump installed in the lowest part of the crawlspace or basement. They are usually installed in specially constructed sump pits. It is the sump pump’s job to keep the area under the building dry and to prevent it from flood¬ing. Water flows into the sump pit through drains or by natural water migration through the soil. The flow of water automatically triggers the pump to turn itself on and pump water out of the pit and away from the building to keep the crawlspace dry.
Without a quality sump pump, your crawl space remains vulnerable to groundwater, as well as unnoticed plumbing leaks.
A Reliable Crawl Space Sump Pump & Liner
AquaGuard Foundation Solutions is proud to provide SmartSump™ Crawl Space Sump Pump Systems. SmartSump™ is equipped with a cast-iron Zoeller® sump pump, a reliable liner, a sump alarm, and an optional battery backup sump pump. It is insurance for a dry crawl space all the time!
The SmartSump™ has a unique lid; it connects snugly with the CleanSpace® liner for a tight seal. Any water from a leak in the plumbing passes by and triggers an alarm The alarm sounds to let you know there is a leak in your crawl space, and the excess water drains down into the sump.
Crawl spaces can stay wet for days, weeks, and even months without the homeowner realizing there’s a water problem. The SmartSump™ Crawl Space Sump Pump gives you peace of mind knowing you are protected. Leaks and crawlspace water problems will not go undetected. That saves you worry and money in the long run on your home investment.
Along with a cast-iron Zoeller® sump pump, your system includes a floor drain to collect water from plumbing leaks and a WaterWatch® sump pump alarm that will sound off to notify you of water in the crawl space. Our optional battery backup sump pump can be included, pumping out more than 11,500 gallons of water on a single charge for maximum protection.
The SmartSump™ Crawl Space Sump Pump is fully compatible with our complete crawl space vapor barrier system. If you have no groundwater concerns, but would still like to be protected from plumbing leaks, you may also want to consider our crawl space drain system.
